Pay tribute to the histories of this space as we project within and broadcast out.
Come into the heart of the building and witness a past (mis)remembered.
Attempt to grasp memory, space, and time.
Trouble the distinction between now and then, here and there, in and out.
Find movement in stillness, noise in silence, presence in absence.
When the night falls, allow the building to rest.

Welcome to Please Return to Your Seats, a three day long durational performance project by University of Sussex Drama Finalists, which took place between 2-4 December 2020. The project was based at Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts (ACCA), previously Gardner Arts Centre. Audiences were invited to join us online and on-site to witness the (almost) empty building perform. The livestreams have now ended, but you can still watch the video works under 'Stories of the Building'.
