Thursday 3rd December
We explore the role of memory and archives, and ask whether we can accurately remember the Arts Centre’s past. How can we claim to know the building if memories are fallible? Who writes the history that gets cemented in our minds, and what might their biases be? How do we construct a history from incomplete archives?
For the best viewing experience, we recommend using headphones.

And Then You Asked About Shows
Many performances have taken place inside the building, leaving their mark and echoing inside its walls. Would you like to hear about a few we’ve rediscovered?
Did That Happen?
Memory is always playing tricks on us. Did we remember that correctly? Did that even happen? How come we remember some performances better than our 12th birthday? Why are some performances forgotten? Memory poses so many questions…
Put the Place to Bed
When the building is full of people, or when there’s nobody in sight, the building still breathes. It breathes in and out, in and out, even when the door is locked. The fish in the pond outside continue to swim. The plants that sit in the café continue to grow. Listen to the building: it says so much, even through the silence.
